홍이삭은 2013년 <제 24회 유재하 음악경연대회>에서 자작곡 ‘봄아’로 동상을 수상하며 데뷔하였다.
데뷔 이후 꾸준한 음원 발매와 인기 드라마 OST 참여, 그리고 음악 영화 <다시 만난 날들>의 주연 배우로 출연 및 음악 감독으로 활동하는 등 다방면의 음악 아카이브를 쌓아오고 있다.
2019년에는 JTBC <슈퍼밴드>에 참여하여 최종 4위를 하였다. 경연 중 뛰어난 작사, 작 편곡, 악기연주 실력을 보여주며 윤상, 김종완 등 선배 뮤지션에게 극찬을 받고 대중들의 마음속에 홍이삭이라는 아티스트를 다시 한번 각인시켰고, 2023년 4월에는 재즈 피아니스트 진수영과 함께한 EP 'everland'를 발매하며, 홍이삭 특유의 따듯한 감성이 담긴 다채로운 음악 아카이브를 쌓아오고 있다.
이후 다양한 라이브 공연을 통해 팬들의 사랑을 꾸준히 받아왔다. 또한 유창한 영어 실력을 바탕으로 tvN <홍진경의 영화 집착>에서 할리우드 배우 및 감독들과 몰입감 있는 인터뷰를 진행하기도 했다. 홍이삭의 감성 보컬은 드라마 제작진에게 큰 사랑을 받으며 <폭싹 속았수다>, <나의 해방일지>, <눈물의 여왕> 등 여러 주요 드라마의 OST를 부르며 큰 인기를 얻었다.
2023년, 홍이삭은 JTBC 오디션 프로그램 <싱어게인3>에서 다시 한 번 자신만의 독특한 스타일을 선보이며 경연에서 우승을 차지했다. 우승 직후에는 재능 있는 싱어송라이터 최유리와 콜라보레이션한 '사랑은 하니까(prod.최유리)’를 발표하며 특유의 스토리텔링과 보컬 실력으로 팬들의 많은 사랑을 받았다. 이후 홍이삭은 각종 페스티벌에서 라이브 퍼포머로서의 역량을 마음껏 발휘했고, KCON 재팬과 KCON LA 공연 초청까지 받으며 글로벌 팬들에게 자신의 음악적 가치를 널리 알렸다.
그의 보컬 능력과 음색을 강조하는 공연 클립은 많은 조회수를 기록했으며, 전 세계 팬들에게 사랑받고 있다.
2025년 2월 그는 사랑의 다양한 면을 담은 앨범 'The Lovers Note'를 발매했으며, 11월에는 인연에 대한 많은 의미를 담은 디지털 싱글 앨범 ‘Hello, goodbye.’를 발매했다.
Isaac Hong first stepped into the music scene in 2013, winning the bronze prize at the 24th Yoo Jae-ha Music Contest with his original song <Bom-a>.
Since then, he consistently pursued his musical career, gaining significant attention in 2019 when he appeared on the JTBC audition program <Superband>, finishing in 4th place. During the competition, he received high praise from senior musicians like Yoon Sang and Kim Jong-wan for his outstanding songwriting, composing, arranging, and instrumental performance skills, solidifying his name in the public's mind. Subsequently, he earned critical acclaim for his lead role and music direction in the music film Days <We Met Again>.
He has continuously received love from fans through various live performances. Furthermore, leveraging his fluent English skills, he conducted engaging interviews with Hollywood actors and directors on tvN's 'Hong Jin-kyung's Movie Obsession.' Isaac Hong's emotional vocals have been widely loved by drama production teams, leading him to sing OSTs for several major dramas, including <When Life Gives You Tangerines>, <My Liberation Notes>, and <Queen of Tears>, gaining immense popularity.
In 2023, Isaac Hong once again challenged himself on the JTBC audition program <singagain3>, showcasing his unique style and ultimately winning the competition.Immediately after his victory, he released "Because There Is Love (Prod. Choi Yu-ri)", a collaboration with talented singer-songwriter Choi Yu-ri, receiving much love from fans for his distinctive storytelling and vocal prowess. Subsequently, Isaac Hong fully demonstrated his abilities as a live performer at various festivals, and was even invited to perform at KCON Japan and KCON LA, widely promoting his musical value to global fans.
His performance clips, highlighting his vocal ability and tone, have garnered many views and are loved by fans worldwide.
In February 2025, he released the album "The Lovers Note," which contains various aspects of love, and in November, he released the digital single "Hello, goodbye," which contains many meanings about relationships.
